Quick Win: The Press Multiplier
My 3-Step Framework for Turning One Media Hit Into Ongoing Revenue
Here’s what I see happen all the time: A founder lands a huge press hit, Oprah’s Favorite Things, The Today Show, Vogue. They celebrate. They post about it once. Maybe they add it to their website. And then they move on.
Just like that, they’ve left thousands of dollars on the table.
Here’s the truth: press isn’t just about the moment it goes live. It’s about what you do with it after.
On today’s Dear Founder podcast, my guest Annabel Love from Nori shares how they turned press into their highest revenue day ever. This is the exact framework I teach inside my yearlong group mentorship, Marketing Made Simple, and it’s how you turn one press hit into ongoing visibility and sales.
When you land press for you or your business, here are the simple steps I’d take to make sure that you squeeze every bit of juice out of that hit.
Step 1: Capture It Everywhere
This helps to build your credibility. When press goes live, capture it across every platform you own. This isn’t vanity, it’s validation. Press shortens the sales cycle dramatically.
Add it to:
• Your website homepage (”As Seen In” banner)
• Your Instagram/LinkedIn bio
• Your email signature
• Instagram Highlights (create a “Press” highlight)
• Your pitch deck or sales materials
What Annabel did: After landing Oprah’s Favorite Things, Vogue, and The Today Show, Nori made sure those logos were visible everywhere. When someone was on the fence about buying, seeing “Oprah’s Favorite Things” sealed the deal.
Step 2: Turn It Into Paid Content
This is where the real money is, and how the press helps you to convert sales. Turn your press into paid advertising. Press quotes and logos are proof. And proof converts.
• Create static Meta ads with press quotes
• Add press logos to video ads (first 3 seconds)
• Use press in retargeting campaigns
• Turn quotes into testimonial ads
What Annabel did: Nori turned their press placements into Meta ads with social proof. Those ads kept working long after the original press aired, driving ongoing sales.
Step 3: SWEEP It Across Every Channel
You hear me talk about SWEEP all the time, this is how you amplify the message everywhere. Take that one press hit and SWEEP it across every marketing channel you have. This is how you turn one press hit into 50+ pieces of content.
Social Media: Post it, share behind-the-scenes, repost in Stories monthly, create carousels
Email: Send announcement email, follow-up 48 hours later, reference in future campaigns
Events: Mention in speaking engagements, add to your speaker bio, use in workshop promotions
Partnerships: Include in pitch decks, leverage for retail/wholesale, use in fundraising
Publicity: Use it to land additional press. Success begets success. When you’re HOT and on a streak, make sure you leverage the buzz to create even more.
What Annabel did: After The Today Show aired, Nori shared it across social, sent emails, updated their website, and created ongoing content. That’s why it became their highest revenue day, and why the momentum kept going.
Your Action Plan This Week
If you’ve landed press (or when you do):
• Capture it: Add to website, bio, email signature, Highlights
• Convert it: Turn clips and quotes into Meta ads
• SWEEP it: Share across social, email, events, partnerships for 30+ days
Press isn’t just about the moment. It’s about what you do after. When you multiply it by capturing, converting, and sweeping it everywhere, you turn one media hit into ongoing visibility, credibility, and revenue.
This is exactly what Annabel shares on today’s Dear Founder podcast, how Nori landed The Today Show, Oprah’s Favorite Things, and Vogue, and how they leveraged that press to build an 8-figure profitable business. Make sure you listen to hear the full story.
