This series is my personal story of leaving the company I sold—a story I’ve never shared before. It’s not just about business deals or financial stakes; it’s about values, leadership, and the tough decisions that come when your principles no longer align with the company you built.

In this series, I’ll take you through the pivotal moments when I realized that the dream of scaling my business wasn’t going to happen the way I imagined, and how that realization pushed me to reclaim my voice, my power, and ultimately, my future.

This journey led me to create Dear FoundHer..., a movement for women entrepreneurs who want to build businesses with purpose, authenticity, and integrity—without compromising what matters most to them.

I’m sharing this story in hopes that it resonates with anyone who’s had to make a tough decision, pivot, or walk away from something they built in order to stay true to themselves. The lessons in this journey are bigger than just my own—they’re for anyone who’s ready to take control of their own path, no matter the cost.

The biggest misconception about selling your business is that once you do, it means that you’re rich.

The second biggest misconception about selling your business is that people think that once you sell your business all of your problems go away.

I can say with utmost certainty—-that neither of these are true.

At least they weren’t for me.

What happens when the dream of a big acquisition turns into a nightmare?
